Singing in the choir

The Rocking Cardinal Choir

This is what I what I came early for. Caitlyn is in her school choir. It’s not often that I get to see school programs. I really enjoyed this one especially when she sang in a small group.

Holy eyebrows!

Last Saturday Rick and I went in Mitsukoshi to have a look around we arrived just in time to see Santa, the Japanese version. He was kind enough to pose and wave for the me the gaijin (foreigner). His eyebrows were two rectangular pieces of white felt stuck on.

Window shopping

Mitsukoshi Ginza Window

Japanese Department stores follow the tradition of major department stores worldwide by having special Christmas themed displays in their store windows. This was my favorite the carousel zebra was just fabulous and the manikins were beautiful.

Days of Christmas

Although Christmas is not celebrated as a Christian holiday in Japan, it is celebrated as a commercial one. It’s all about the merchants making more money.

Often constructions sites in Tokyo have windows so that you can look in and watch the building process. This window has been converted into a Christmas display. The Santa on the right was dancing.
